This example always returns the constant "location", rather then the actual location {bottom, left, right}


{bottom, left, right} are values of the key 'orientation' in the file "com.apple.dock.plist".
You can change this value via the System Events Dock Preferences Suite (as someone suggested)
or
you can read/write the "com.apple.dock.plist" file directly via System Events Property List Suite.
(about which I'll say more if requested.)
