Details about my late post.
The problem is not specific to AppleScript.
When I was betatester for AppleWorks, only the US English version was tested.
In february 2006, I was asked by Apple France to study iWork '06, mainly Numbers, because, at least the French version, was not tested before public delivery.
Given that, I reported a lot of localization oddities to Apple France. I reported some others directly to Bug Reporter.
Some where corrected, others wheren't. I never understood why.
When iWork '09 was delivered I discovered that reported oddities related to links between localized Numbers and localized AddressBook wheren't completely cured. It seems that there is no synchonization between the two localization processes.
Oddities with some localize features where reported in february 2009 but not corrected in updates 1 and 2.
Same items in the three applications of iWork aren't localized the same way.
More, in update 1 and 2, a new menu item (Export) was introduced in the file menu of Numbers and Keynote in English version but not in the 17 other versions.
If it's not segregation or apartheid, words have new meanings !
