AppleScript has changed relatively slowly over time, and SL doesn't
represent any big break with previous releases (despite the
bellyaching about the date functionality on this list).
I don't know how old the Apple book you mention is. If it's pre-OS X,
then you will find a lot of changes. If it's pre-Leopard, then you
will find a few significant ones. But in general, there are more
additions than changes or removals, and AppleScript bleibt
AppleScript.
