There are now many more categories for AppleScript formatting styles than the original 8, so that's probably why the osax implemenation is now spotty.


As of Snow Leopard, using Courier/10pt is a mess in Terminal but I think it might not be the same problem as getting the osax to use it. These preferences are unfortunately now specified using NSColor and NSFont. Beats me why they wouldn't have opted for something with more integration possibilities such as a representation in an XML Formatting Objects subset.
