Snow Leopard and (old) AppleScript applications

Hi all,

I get an error telling me that my (old, Leopard compiled) AppleScript application needs Rosetta.

1. So Rosetta is not installed 'by default' (*)
2. I need to recompile my script and generate the new application under SL.

I do not remember seen this in the documentation. Do I overlooked it ?
[or “where in the documentation are the changes for SL ?”)
Yes, I re-read the document called “RN-AppleScript.pdf”; I even issue a search on "Rosetta" with no result.

Also, where can I find SL release notes (what is new / have changed with SL) ?

Emile

* I just read the ars technica article on SL and they talks about Rosetta: it is not installed by defaut!
I do not have an internet access when I get AS message, so - fortunately - I was not proposed to download it!

Just for the record:
Fortunately (I was burned by 10.5.8 update) I installed Mac OS X 10.6.1 (SL) on an external Hard Disk.
I am unable to get a window open at 0,0 (Top,Left, just below the menu bar and at the leftmost position) by script or manually.
I also saw / suffer from other mis-behaviors and so I decided to go back (stay :-( ) with 10.5.8 [**].

I even saw a feature in SL that I strongly dislike in Windows… but I already saw that in prior OS versions.

I had a case where changes in a TextEdit document were lost (when I closed the window, after many Command-S…)

** Do you know about the Command-F bugs in Leopard (10.5.8) ?
[That bug is not in SL].

At last, I had a folder with its data… invisibles until I used Disk Utilities (or is it Disk Util) and repair the hard disk. That was the main reason I stopped to use SL. I got data lost with Tiger and I do not want that to appears again…
