It happened again! Sometime earlier today, trash messages dated 26, 27 Sep spontaneously disappeared. Unfortunately they disappeared just before I ran a backup, this afternoon. I rarely backup until sometime in the evening, but today was an exception. All these messages are lost. (I've been duplicating trash into an alternate mailbox, but had failed to do this recently, since the problem seemed to have gone away.)

I have not run any AppleScript code that modifies Mailbox Behaviors, so they are still set to NEVER erase trash. Yet, it disappears!
