SMS Via iChat

I've been looking for an example of how to script the sending of a SMS message via iChat.

I've found a number of examples on line but they are all quite elaborate, reading one's Address Book and presenting a list of all potential recipients and such.

I intend to keep iChat open with the intended recipient's chat window front most.

I have a mobile phone's number and a message. Given these two items, and iChat already running, what's a quick way to send a short text to the intended number?
