Hello Emile,
What does your front window display at the time you are running above script?
Put in another way, how do you have opened that window? For example, by double-clicking the startup disk's icon on the desktop?
Closed by Command-W, opened by double-click IN THE FINDER, not by script.
After some days, it seems that Snow Leopard is scarce at update the
window contents (not releted, but...). Now I understand (I forgot) why I
do not installed Snow Leopard on my MacBook. I've made some testings on
a virgin external hard disk and decided that it behaves too bad on MY
usages. I installed it this week (tired of waiting about 10.6.3 / bug
removes) and now I have to live with it (two clicks to go to the
Inspector / a Finder window for example).
Emile
PS: there is worse; I have a script that does not set the items location
on a Finder window, but recognized the different items it finds... I
must make some more debugs before asking for help (I wrote it while I
was tired, so maybe I've made some mistakes I cannot see then?)
