FYI, Satimage osax' "sortlist" command includes a "with case
sensitive" option.
Hello.
I know that the option exists in Satimage but
(1) I do not know if it applies to my precise problem:
In fact, it's a question iof applying a double criterion
a) digital sorting
b) sorting "not case sensitive" the entries beginning with the same
number
(2) As I have already explained it to you, it is out of the question
to ask to people that I try to help to install an OSAX while most of
the time it's their first contact with AppleScript.
They are already in despair, it does not seem sensible to add to
their confusion.
Most of the time, here you are 'speaking' to beings having a long
practice of AppleScript.
Those to which I respond ignored the existence of AppleScript when
they asked for help.
Their reaction when I respond that the soluce to their problem is a
script resemble to the one of a postman in front of a yelping them.
They are afraid that the beast want to bite them.
Often, I must explain them that AppleScript may be at work on their
machine without telling them that it is.
Often, they panic because I use french words to name the variables:
their system used in English will be unable to run that.
So I explain them that naming a variable 'GW_Busch" or
'le_boucher_de_Bagdad' makes no difference.
