Hi folks,

Just a quick post to let you all know that after several years' slumber, the AppleMods project has a new maintainer (me), and I've completely overhauled both the AppleMods site and the Loader system itself, modernising it for OS X 10.4 and later, and greatly simplifying its packaging scheme and interface.

For those who haven't heard of AppleMods before (which, um, may be most of you), it is a simple yet capable module loading system for AppleScript that makes it easy to load .scpt-based module, or library, files into your scripts.

New documentation and download links are here:

	http://applemods.sourceforge.net

The AppleModsLoader-0.12.0 download contains the Loader system itself, documentation and utilities, and a number of useful libraries including List, Math, Strftime, and Types.

I still have a number of other 'old' Loader modules that haven't yet been converted to the new system, along with a list of other potential enhancements that would be nice to make; however, I'm fairly busy these days, so if you want frequent updates, you'll need hassle me for them:). The bundled modules already contain plenty of useful handlers, and it is now extremely easy to create and use your own modules as well. Bug reports, suggestions, and other feedback welcome, and if you fancy contributing in any way then drop me an email and we can discuss.

Enjoy,

has
