That's the point that's quite debatable.
It's not easy for you - at this time - because you don't know how.
You most emphatically are NOT talking about inherent limitations of FileMaker + applescript + DE/alternatives.
That does not at all mean that it isn't actually easy to do.
But we do not have enough information.

There is nothing that you've described that inherently takes that long.
It takes YOU that long because you do not know how to do it better.
But you're keeping it a secret. Nobody can help you at this point.
Either disclose enough information to actually enable something to be accomplished.
Or give up and recognize what you're doing.
