That's not correct either. About 10.3, Apple started to change the finder
dictionary from the catchall "OS Function dictionary" to the actual "just
stuff the finder should be doing" dictionary, and moved a lot of things into
System Events.

That's not deprecating the finder dictionary or its scripting, that's just
refining the Finder dictionary to not be a dumping ground.
