Thanks Laine,

I think you hit the nail on the head.

With the new machine I had tried (unsuccessfully) to run an old program to set the formatting of Smile.

I think this may have mess up something else.

Anyway after I reset the formatting to default the OLD script we've been battling for days works without any changes.

Blame the mis-spelling on the fact that to get text from an error window I have to capture it and use an OCR.
