Option l

To break a line in Applescript and have it considered to be a single line, you need to have ¬ followed by a return. You can generate this by typing option-return. Before Snow Leopard, you could also type a ¬ with option-l at the end of a line.

However, in snow leopard, option-l now generates a - character, which is a modifier. And I can't find the key combination that generates the ¬ character. (In case you're wondering how I'm able to put it in this message, it's because I copied and pasted it from an Applescript Editor window.
