(1) Why isn't option-return sufficient? You trying to generate this
character outside of Script Editor?
(2) Check your keyboard setting? In the default US keyboard, it's
still the same key combination on my SL install as it was in Leopard.
But if you've switched to US Extended (which is my usual keyboard
because it has a lot more easily-typable characters), I don't see any
way to generate a ¬.
