My system is a new Mac Mini, which somewhat surprisingly seems to be 32-bit.
Does the ASLG say what should happen in cases like this?
Real-to-integer conversion is almost guaranteed to lose information,
but when even the integer closest to the source value is not
representable, I'd expect it to at least warn if not fail outright.
