OK, I am listening.

Currently I use QuickTime Player on both Leopard and Snow Leopard. Player X has the "current time" document property too, which is all I need.
Except that Player X has this black bar at the top when the movie is not playing which is far from ideal from my point of view.


But if I use QuickTime 7 on Snow Leopard I cannot compile the script on Leopard which is where I work most of the time.
