You have to understand the organization of the ~/Library/Mail/ folder and use this ... mailbox n, pl mailboxes [inh. item] : A mailbox that holds messages elements properties name text : The name of a mailbox unread count integer, r/o : The number of unread messages in the mailbox
from Mail's dictionary. The path you want will be the names of the containers and may include an account folder or for mailboxes "OnMyMac" the folder ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/ .
(Mail's dictionary has a 'path to document' command, but as far as I know, it does not work.)
The name of the message file is the message id with the extension ".emlx" and these files are located in a "Messages" folder within the mailbox folder which has the name "mailboxname.mbox".
I'm being brief and probably missed something, but we can cover that in discussion.
