Sending Mail with Mail 5 in Lion

Hey Folks,

Is there any way other than UI scripting to send messages you've created manually and saved in the drafts mailbox?

I can create new messages with Applescript which are considered 'outgoing messages' and can be sent via the 'send' command, but manually created draft messages apparently are NOT considered 'outgoing messages'.  Weird.
