I recompiled and used the script in 10.6.8 without any errors.
I returned to 10.7.1 and used the script there without errors.

This seems to be one of those errors that is fixed by a restart.
Seems to be related to the temporary items problem I've been having.
If I knew more about error -8091, I might know more about that problem.
