If you can't reproduce the bug I outlined regarding the list view in the Finder, then I am surprised. This is in the Apple bug database and i just tried it on the box that still has Lion.
If you are going to automate anything and that functionality does not work properly, then this is a problem.
In 10.6.x in the Finder, switch to list view in a window and press command 1 twice. The sort order changes from Name Ascending to Name Descending.
Do the same in 10.7.1. The sort order does change to Name, but never from ascending to descending.
Do you see that or not?
This is an open bug in Apple's dev bugs.
The reason why I brought these up was the large amount of bugs and changed features that I encountered on two machines.
Two machines.
See, for everyone who has no problems with Lion, there are people with loads of problems. I just used the system for a week before I gave up on it.
But really, it's rather worse. One bug that was in Safari on Lion, is also in Safari in Snow Leopard. Open a YouTube URL in Safari and enter a comment and misspell some words before submitting. Press command shift semicolon and when a misspelled word is found, click ignore.
The page reloads and you lose your data.
WHAT?
Yep.
How did that make it through testing?
The concern here is that the quality of products coming out of Apple seems to have taken a nose dive and as we make our money off of Apple products, this is a great concern.
