The place I'd start is ( if you can get your hands on it) the MacTech April 2007 issue with "Moving from Microsoft Office VBA to AppleScript" in it -- 140 pages of goodness from Paul Berkowitz.

MacTech has an online version here:

   http://www.mactech.com/vba-transition-guide/index-001.html

but the formatting isn't great. Yes, the title says 'Moving from VBA., but the truth is there are a lot of great example scripts.

Hi All.

I know you can access AppleScript with Microsoft 2008. I was seeking for a good book, tutorial, documentation on how to do this.

My end target is to be able to navigate through the document within Word via char, word, line, paragraph and sentence. As moving through the document, it would provide all the attributes. Such as if the word is missed spelled, font, point, etc.

EXCel is to insert and extract data from the sheets, plus properties of the cells.

Any help on this topic would be excellent.

If you are wondering why I am doing this, is to improve accessibility for Mac Microsoft Office. It isn't accessible the navigation of Word and Excel. I am hoping to develop scripts over a long period of time. So blind Mac users can use this application.
