Hi all,
after getting a brand new MacBook, I started to connect external hard disks and work with some files.
Unfortunately, I consistently get "File Locked" do you want to unlock them ? (the word appears in the title bar of the document as can appear: Modified).
That is not the Locked property of a file in the Finder, it is in Preview and TextEdit (for example).
I tried to get the properties of one of these files *, to no available: I do not find this new stuff.
This reminds me about the quarantine flag (an item property that is not inside the file properties…).
How are we supposed to use past data ?
I used both scripts (below), but does not get any valuable information:
tell application "Finder"
return properties of item "Tim_Tylers_Luck_19340514.png" of front window
end tell
tell application "Finder"
return info for (item "Tim_Tylers_Luck_19340514.png" of front window) as alias
end tell
PS: MacBook Pro 15" (the lower speed) from late 2011 / Mac OS X 10.7.2 (Lion).
Help !
Emile
* In fact, it seems to me that every file copied (or not) that comes from an external hard disk (from Windows XP or from my old MacBook) suffer from this illness. I can understand the why, but man, (or woman!), these are my (MY) files!
BTW: this does not arise if the file comes from the Internet.
