I understand, but there is worse:
I view a web page,
I save it,
I click to download an archive file,
I make a simple screen shot,
I run Preview and save the Clipboard into a file
and I do that say three times:
I have to run Preview THREE TIMES, and also, I HAVE TO SELECT _MY_ TARGET FOLDER THREE TIMES!
Really counter productive.
Oh, what about a temporary change in an image inside Preview ? [saved automatically to file…] I am quite sure it hurts my productivity (maybe not hurt a newbie ?)
BTW: In the old time (yes, I'm an oldster: 57 y/o), we get manuals with computers... to avoid to ask friends things / looks stupid (or idiot [;-)].
I still recall the OS version 6 manuals…
Oh, I get Lion with the MacBook Pro (late 2011) which is delivered without Lion DVD nor Applications DVD! A Shame. How am I supposed to make a backup before erasing the hard disk ? I am lost.
Thanks all for your information,
Emile
PS: what is your feeling on TextEdit Search and Replace UID function ?
(mostly Replace)
