Hi Emmanuel,

Thanks for your suggestion. An osax is not an option I'd thought of, but it certainly bears consideration. If I understand correctly, the overhead should be no worse--maybe better--than 'do shell script' and there are no other down sides than a small possibility of terminology conflict.

The dictionary looks promising. I presume that most of the commands work with both files and folders (i.e. - filerename). After some testing, I'll consider using Files.osax as my file/folder operator of choice.
