Remote scripting 10.6.x calling 10.5.x

  • Subject: Remote scripting 10.6.x calling 10.5.x

Does anyone know if there is a remote scripting limitation/bug where:

you can call a handler in an applescript app on a remote mac when you're going from 10.6.x to 10.6.x

but if you try to call an AS handler in a remote AS app from 10.6.x to on a mac with 10.5.x, you can't?

I keep getting "Can’t continue ConfirmCommunication." number -1708
When trying to call the ConfirmCommunication() handler in an app on my macs running 10.5.8

I've tried calling this on 5 Macs, 2 that are 10.5.8, 1 that is 10.6.4, one that is 10.6.6 and one that is 10.6.0.

Only the 10.5.8 Macs get that error message.  Is this something anyone knows about or knows a way to work around?

TIA,
- Alex
