Convert Text to Variable Name

  • Subject: Convert Text to Variable Name

Hey Folks,

It seems to me there's a way to convert text to a declared variable name, but I can't remember how.

Example:

set AppleScriptFolder to "Web Archives:Applescript:"
set LookupTable to "
macscripter.net, lists.apple.com AppleScriptFolder
"

So if I do a lookup and find macscripter.net OR lists.apple.com and then return AppleScriptFolder as text, how do I convert that text into the variable AppleScriptFolder?

(I know I could just lookup the path string instead, but I want to do it the other way if possible.)

TIA

Chris
