A Smart Folder is NOT a folder and it is
NOT a mailbox.
A smart folder is a property list
document. It has the format of a .plist file but has a .savedSearch
extension.
If you want to see the internal format of
a smart folder, drag & drop it onto the Property List
Editor.app in /Developer/Applications/Utilities/
