If you drag & drop a .plist file onto the Xcode.app icon, it will open in Xcode. Solves that problem!
I also Googled ".lockfile", but found absolutely nothing. This may not have anything to do with this problem, but I want to know what they do.

Meanwhile ... I've installed the new Developer Tools (Install Xcode.app) and noticed that Property List Editor is missing.
So is Interface Building. Everything is done via Xcode now. It is different and it takes a while to get used… I am still in the while period!
