Mail in Lion

Finally, a week after installing Lion, I have had a chance to look a Mail (offline).
There seems to be a new .mbox folder format.

The old format was ...
	mailboxName.mbox
		Messages

The new format is ...
	mailboxName.mbox
		<uuid>
			Data
				Messages

I'm searching for information and documentation for this new format in order to update my scripts.
(No luck, yet.)

I'll let you all know if I find anything, ...
Meanwhile, does anyone know the location of any documentation?
