But again, these are ASCII-only (some of the variants in the macscripter
thread also handles some common accented characters, but that's all).
It's a big world out there: not everyone restricts their language to
English. Using these sorts of methods is asking for your code to break.
(And yes, it's crazy that AppleScript still can't do this properly by
itself...)
