Goggling for QuickTime and metadata returns boatloads of links for reading metadata, but I haven't seen links about writing metadata. Any suggestions?

But, it makes me nervous that if the Excel file gets lost or misplaced, the metadata that spreadsheet contains becomes "uncoupled" from the movies. If I could write the metadata to each movie, that information would always be "tied" to that file. This metadata would just be some text.
Hello Philip,
Thanks for the explanations.
In fact, I asked because QTP 7 doesn't show a keyword "metadata" in its dictionary; were you considering "annotation"?
