Problems with folder actions

  • Subject: Problems with folder actions

Hi,

OS 10.6.8.

Now that I have a working script I can't seem to remember how to get it to work as a folder action.

The Folder Actions Setup won't link to anything that I can find.I've tried the Universal Scripts folder, all three Library Scripts folders and the Automator folder.

Didn't see anything helpful on Google.

Per "The Definitive Guide" (2004) I created ~/Library/Scripts/Folder Action Scripts and put the script in there. I tried to go to the contextual menu and choose Enable Folder Actions but that doesn't exist.

I've tried a script and an app but neither are selectable.

Are there any current instructions on the subject?

TIA,

Robert Poland - Fort Collins, CO
