When this problem appears and I try to open the .sparsebundle file directly, I get a message saying "Resource Temporarily Unavailable".

I have found a procedure to clear this:
	Open Activity Monitor;
	A process named "diskimage-helper" will always be found there;
	Kill it!
Now I can mount the image disk without a problem.

Does this clarify the problem for anyone?
