Applescript & Keyboard Maestro

I've had a continuing problem in that Keyboard Maestro sometimes refuses to allow the setting up of macros involving Applescript scripts.  Macros involving scripts that have already been set up continue to function properly, but then sometime (like at the present time) I can't set up new ones.  I just modified a script (same name, same location, only minor modifications) that was working in a macro, but it now no longer runs.  I can set up all sorts of other macros - just as long as they don't involve Applescript.  At some point, who knows when or why, I'll be able to set up macros with Applescript that function once again.  I've closed down, I've shut down, I've copied running scripts to new files and attempted to use them in macros.  The original continues to work, but there is no way that the copied one can be set up in a macro.  Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, why, and is there any fix?  (Questions to Keyboard Maestro have brought the response that it has to do with my computer/system - I'm still using 10.5.8, and am using Maestro 4.3.2 - which makes no sense since macros continue to work that have already set up, and at sometime I'll be able to set up new ones again.)

Thanks for any insight that can be given.
Bob Young
