Certificate of authenticity Apple’s new approach relies on the idea of what it calls “identified developers,” which is to say developers to whom the company has issued a digital certificate.
So, how do I get this digital certificate? And how do I use it with my application developed entirely with Smile and AppleScript Editor?
You pay your $99 Mac Developer fee and gain access to the Apple web site where you can make and download your certificate. Then you use tools included with Xcode to digitally sign your application, presumably an AppleScript app would be signed just the same as any other app.
Or you tell people to allow your app to run without being signed.
