Actually, I am using "Safari in the OS 10.6.8 flavor". I think my problem is related to Adobe Reader.
The latest version screwed-up something and I can't un-screw it despite un-installing Reader.
The problem with getting the meta-data url seems to be a problem with the AppleScript I was using to get the url. It works with a copy of a file on the desktop, but not with the original in an image disk. I'll have to figure that out later.
