You might find it interesting. If I ever really, really need to do that, I will read this first.
Meanwhile, I don't really, really need to do that just now, so I won’t.

Which makes my point. You want control of which rules you follow, which are specific to the software and language you are writing.  So source code implementations, of limited but known capability, are the best choice, providing you the ability to control the tradeoff between speed, size and completeness.
