Of course I had a meeting scheduled when my CIO wanted a customized version of the app created today, so I had the joy of trying to contribute to a meeting and properly rescale and optimize images ala Preview in the middle of it. The meeting won.
But, what I did end up doing rather than write a simple scale script was to go to the keyboard System Preference and add Command Shift I as the command key for Preview's "Adjust Size…" menu item.
Got the job done pretty quickly.
I'll work on a script when my brain comes back.
