Probably yes. ;-) You aren't facing only the language's intricacies anymore: GUI scripting addresses the idiosyncrasies of an application (System Events) trying to provide a general framework for the (often ephemeral, depending on the targeted application's version or locale) GUI behavior of any application. Inevitably, some trial and error is to be expected...
I have already coded version one of this service and now working on version two, the GUI scripting isn't any more complicated than key presses, but I'm combining two services into one and that's where it gets complicated with a bunch of conditionals and text delimiter stuff and this is where I'm getting hung up. -Daniel |
