It depends.
For users working with networks, the new contents is a good one.
But for users like me and seemingly Alex or Luther, as long as we don't use networks, the old contents was better.
My preferred choice would be to be allowed to choose between bare alioases or full featured ones.
I will study the "slim alias" behavior.
When I was reading messages in this thread, i was more and more smiling because it remind me what I read while working upon archives of the forum.
There was the same kind of reaction in year 2001.
I saw messages explaining why their author was displeased by the pression applied by Apple to push developers to switch from OSAX to Faceless Applications.
Now, with the non fatal errors issued when we trigger an OSAX, it appears that Apple was trying to solve a problem which developers weren't aware of.
