How to get the path of the actual image in iPhoto 11?

So I'm using

set thisInfo to info for (image path of thisPhoto as POSIX file)

but what this is actually returning is the JPG that's used in the preview itself and not the actual image behind this "thumbnail"

How can you select images in iPhoto and then work with the path of the file behind the image?

The selection is actually giving me the thumbnails and not the photos behind them.
