Friends

I tried this over on Macscripter, but having looked around at previous posts on there and on Stack Exchange, I'm not hopeful. Still, it's always best to ask the experts! ;)

I'm looking for a way of getting the current exhaust fan speed. I don't want to manipulate it, I just want to monitor it.

I don't want to install any third party application or process to do it (not even a free one). Any solution that is native OS X will do, so long at it can be called in either vanilla AppleScript or in ASObjC.

Any thoughts?
