Expect a flood of posts from scripters wanting to know how to manipulate
their users' Medium time string settings. ;)
Fortunately, the date objects themselves appear to be reliable and
mathematically usable, so I've gone back to occasionally using
extreme-range dates as reference points in date calculations. But of
course I now use non-string methods to set them.
