And while we're off topic, for the native French speakers, little things in English can be so strange - because they are.
Take "Information", for example.
In English, the plural of information is information. "Informations" isn't a word in English. I'm not sure if this is because it's a collective noun, or just le plural or le singular are the same word. Fun.
And will someone tell me where the British got "lef-tenent" from lieutenant, "mili-tree" from military and "med-sin" from medicine?
Of course, we Americans do say "zee-bra" when it should be zeb-ra, so not everyone has it right.
