Notification When Finder Is Done Copying

Is there a way that I can enclose a Finder copy of many files into a script that could be made to take an action to notify me when the copy operation is done?

I frequently copy large numbers of files and I'd like to be able to get to work on them as soon as the copy from, say, a SD card to another volume is complete. Ideally, I could script something such that when the copy is done, it would to play a sound continuously until I stop it. (I am often away from my Mac while the copying is going on.)

Any ideas?

I know Finder plays a single tone when copy is complete but there are reasons that is not sufficient for my needs.
