I know there has been some debate on this list but I just got this note from a software company in response to a support question.
"PS. Please note that Apple is in essence deprecating Applescript since they are insisting in sand-boxing. It hence won't be supported beyond the current version. "
If anyone is going to WWDC i'd certainly appreciate any feedback you might be able to get from Apple.
