What you will see varies. These days most scripts are in ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/, and if the folder for an app doesn't exist, it is created when you choose Open Scripts Folder in the scripts menu when that app is active.

Apps with their own scripts menus can also save them in ~/Library/Application Scripts/. In the case of sandboxed apps, that's where they have to store any that are run by an app. Mail is an example.
