Now drag an icon from the Finder to the end of the sentence. What should be pasted? Should quotes be escaped here?
By all means, log feature or enhancement requests -- it would certainly make it generally more useful to wrap paths in quotes and escape quotes in them. But if you declare it broken, someone may look at your report, then look at what's happening, and declare it working as designed. Because it may not be ideal, but it is not broken: it's copying the paths with 100% fidelity.
