May you try to look at the pane General in the System Preferences Pane entitled Confidentiality & Security ?
If it isn't, select the lower radio button. In french it's named "N'importe où" and I don't remember how it's named in English.
It's the one allowing applications which are not signed to be used.
If it's not sufficient, reveal the pane Confidentiality in the same Confidentiality & Security prefpane.
Open the lock
drag and drop the icon of your app in the scroll area.
Given my own experience, this will allow your application to work.
